Inside a $2.65 Million Caribbean Dream Home: Hillrise House, Nevis
When you get the chance to spend time on the charming Caribbean island of Nevis, it’s hard not to fall in love. And when you get the chance to live and work there — well, that’s a privilege I’ll always treasure.
For almost two months, I had the pleasure of working with Sharon Brantley, founder of 17 Degrees North Realtors in Charlestown, and one of the island’s leading real estate professionals (not to mention, she’s also the First Lady of Nevis, being the wife of current Premier, Mark Brantley, but that’s another story!) Sharon is the definition of elegance and business savvy, and being part of her world — my brief stint as a property development consultant — gave me a unique window into the Nevisian luxury property market…
From Consultant to Creator: A Final ‘Thank You’ in Nevis
As a thank-you gift before wrapping up my time with 17 Degrees North Realtors, I offered to create a piece of content for one of her listings (as only a self-described “digital expert girlie” could deliver). The idea was simple: a short-form, lifestyle-led reel that showcased the magic of island living, especially for those who aren’t aware that this small island exists. Sharon chose the perfect property: a stunning hillside villa nestled in the lush landscape of Montpelier, with panoramic views across the island and even a peek at sister island, St. Kitts, on a clear day.
And honestly? I couldn’t have asked for a more dreamy canvas to create with.

Hill Rise House: Island Elegance with a View to Match
Located in the exclusive Montpelier Estate, this property — known as Hill Rise House — is listed at $2.65 million USD, and wellm it’s easy to see why.
From the moment you step onto the expansive wraparound verandah, you’re greeted with breathtaking views that stretch beyond imagination. Picture swaying palms, cobalt skies, and the glistening Caribbean Sea — a picture-perfect backdrop whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or toasting the sunset.

This timeless Caribbean retreat, perched 600 feet above sea level, perfectly blends historic charm with modern luxury. Boasting over 5,000 square feet of living space, the main house and guest cottage feature four spacious bedrooms, each with elegant ensuite bathrooms, plus refined indoor-outdoor living spaces designed for island comfort and sophistication.
Step outside to your own private oasis, complete with a sparkling pool, a private tennis court, and more than 2.3 acres of meticulously landscaped tropical gardens.
Hill Rise House isn’t just a home — it’s an experience. An escape.

Why Nevis?
Nevis is the sister island to St. Kitts, forming one half of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Eastern Caribbean. While St. Kitts often draws cruise ships and a busier pace, Nevis remains the tranquil, unspoiled gem. Think fewer tourists, more authenticity, and a tight-knit local community that makes visitors feel like family (something I experienced first-hand!)
It’s also steeped in history. From Alexander Hamilton’s birthplace to centuries-old sugar plantations now transformed into boutique hotels, Nevis weaves its colonial past into the present with understated charm. Add to that the island’s natural beauty: hot springs, volcanic peaks, sandy beaches — and you’ve got an island that’s both rich in culture and ripe with investment potential.
Creating Content with Heart
For the Hill Rise House shoot, I kept things simple: three Instagram posts. One featured a jaw-dropping view with a bold text overlay: “This is what $2.65 million can buy you in Nevis.” Another was a voiceover in Sharon Brantley’s charming style, giving a guided tour of Hillrise House. The third was a carousel of images showcasing both the elegant interiors and lush exteriors.
But it wasn’t just about real estate. It was about capturing a feeling: luxury, yes, but also serenity. Escape. That special Nevisian kind of magic that whispers, you belong here.
And honestly? For those two months that I lived and worked on the island, I did.
Let me know if you’d like to read more from my stay in Nevis (including my stay at this luxury boutique hotel, and an island tour organised for me by Nevis Tourism Authority).
Looking Back
Working with Sharon Brantley at 17 Degrees North Realtors was a great experience. It was refreshing to work in an office setting, and I’m delighted I was able to find a to bring my digital and creative skills into a new space. I learned so much about the island, the people, and what makes Nevis a special place to invest in — not just financially, but emotionally.

If you’re dreaming of Caribbean living; whether it’s for retirement, remote working, or simply a new pace of life — Hill Rise House might just be calling your name… It comes with a hefty price tag, of course!
